Till  1989, my brother Georges and I formed a team  and we raced as “LANGBEEN Gebroeders.

We started racing in the middle of the seventies. At the beginning our favorites were  the short distance races such as QUIEVRAIN, ST-QUENTIN, NOYON.

After a while , we tryed longer distances  like ST-DENIS before attacking the  - at that time - famous “DERBY’S”  ETAMPES and ORLEANS  for young birds  which  played a very important role in the  preparation for the BOURGES national in the Province of East - Flanders.

An important step in the  evolution of our lofts was taken in the early eighties when we introduced the ROOSENS/WILLEQUET strain of  D’HAENE-SEGHERS  ( the late Gilbert Seghers)  from Wetteren. At the same time, we became some very good racers from the late Richard GOOSSENS FROM OORDEGEM.  Those were realy good racers for example the 4200765/85 who won four races  and his brother the 400766/85 won one(TULLE)

In 1990 I started on my own lofts in Brussels after having moved to my actual adress in 1989.

I continued racing with ups and  downs. A 14th National of Brive was the best result I made.

In the mean time I became president of my club - Koninklijke Duivenbond Vilvoorde. As a result of all this, racing came on the fourth place after family, work and club.

My brother Georges continued racing in Wetteren  and obtained very good results such as a second national of Limoges in 1991 with the 4518425/88, first national Perpignan yearlings in 2001 with the 4437834/00 and allso the 20th best Barcelona flyer in belgium for the period 200 2003 with the 2411725/99.

In 2008 we decided to specialise in the international very long distance races and we brought in several  birds that will serve this purpose.

A new beginning.
